Raids in Ohio!

Sigh. Another morning, another raid. It seems like everytime I sit down with my coffee to skim the day's news, another town has been raided, more lives have been destroyed and more communities are struggling to cope with the aftermath.

Today, the spot is northern Ohio, where immigration and customs enforcement officers raided 8 Mexican restaurants in the culmination of what is said to be a year-long investigation.

With so many other things ocurring in our world - the continued occupation in Iraq, the floundering economy, skyrocketing oil prices and the millions of Americans without adequate healthcare - I have to wonder, what could we do if we redirected the money spent on raids towards something productive, that truly worked to solve problems?
