Immigrant Groups Announce Massive Citizenship Workshops before Sharp Hike in Citizenship fees takes place.
Organizations urge eligible immigrants to attend workshops; announce name of applicant 20,000
WHAT: The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) along with community organizations from diverse ethnic groups in the Chicago area will announce upcoming massive citizenship workshops that will take place before increases in applications fees occur. ICIRR encourages all Legal Permanent Residents to attend these workshops and apply. In addition, ICIRR will announce the name of the 20,000 citizenship applicant through the New Americans Initiative. ICIRR will surprise the applicant by paying the current application fee of $400.
