A letter from the civil roots of North Carolina

A few weeks ago I had the great opportunity to meet Sarah Harden a young woman from Maine who has been working as a social worker with the migrant community for several years. Sarah has started a journey down the coast from Maine to the Mexico-US border and back to connect with migrant communities across the country. This trip is coming at a critical time for communities under attack from local anti-immigrant groups, state officials and our federal government. Sarah is tracking her jourey online at southboundsarah.blogspot.com. Most recently she was in North Carolina for May 1st and she's written a great post on her experiences there- check out Sarah's story HERE
