If you happen to be in Chicago on September 22, put on your running shoes! And join the 2.5 mile dreamathon organized by FYSH, Fighting Youth Shout out for Humanity, the youth affiliate of the Korean Resource Center of Chicago.
The dreamathon will be a 2.5 mile run to raise awareness about the Dream Act, as well as funds for a scholarship for local DREAM students.
September 22, 2007 Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm at Legion Park (on the corner of Bryn Mawr & Kedzie)
Go to http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com for the directions. Car pool is strongly recommended.
Pre-registration is not necessary. $5 for adults, $3 for students registration fee required to get T-shirts (limited as 200). Also, Drinks & Snacks can be purchased with $5 suggested donation. The fund raised from the event will be contributed for the scholarship for DREAM students. Further information will be available on DREAM Scholarship.
